Update on Library Project(s)

Dear Bayport-Blue Point Library Residents

As of January 30, the Library learned that the contract to sell the St. Ursula Center to Seafield Treatment Center has been terminated which means that this facility is back on the open market. This information will allow the Library Board to complete their due diligence on this property. As we have informed you, we have taken the initial steps of having BBS Architects do a preliminary cost estimate for turning the Ursuline Center into a library.

The Library Board hopes to have final reports presented to them by mid to end of March to help determine a final plan to propose to the residents of the Bayport-Blue Point Community sometime in 2018.

In order to keep everyone informed of the Library Board’s action, we encourage you to attend our board meetings which will be held on February 8, March 14 and March 28 at 7 p.m. in the library meeting room.

Respectfully,

The Library Board of Trustees
Susan Kennedy-Smith, President
Mary Ellen Adams
Ronald F. Devine, Jr.
Stephanie Heineman
