Library Update – September 2018

Dear Bayport-Blue Point Library Residents:

In our previous report on the update on the St. Ursula property, we informed the community that the Library Board was in negotiations to try to come to terms on an acquisition price for the St. Ursula property. At this time, we would like to report that we do finally have terms agreed upon for $3,650,000 and will be moving forward with a Public Referendum Vote asking for your approval to acquire and renovate this property into your new and improved community library facility.

The Library Board will be holding two community information meetings on October 24, at 5:30 p.m. and November 29, at 7:00 p.m. and will also be sending home proposition information over the next several weeks.

The Vote will take place on December 6, 2018 at the library and final details will be released to our community as soon as we have all the information.

Thank you for your continued support.

Respectfully,

The Library Board of Trustees

Ronald F. Devine, Jr., President
Mary Ellen Adams
