Dear Bayport-Blue Point Library Residents:
Our community information meeting brought out many of our neighbors and friends on Wednesday evening, October 24, to learn about the library’s proposed building project and bond referendum vote. We are pleased that the community has shown an eagerness to learn what the proposed new library would mean for the community and how the bond referendum would impact us. The board was impressed with the excellent questions community members asked, and we are pursuing some of the suggestions that were proposed. We do regret that we were not able to have an extended question and answer period because the room was booked for an evening program.
There will be a board meeting on Wednesday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m.; another community information meeting on Thursday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m.; and tours of the St. Ursula Center on November 3 from Noon to 4:00 p.m and again on December 2 from Noon to 3:00 p.m. Please call the library at 631-363-6133 to book a time for the tour. I also encourage anyone with questions or comments to call or visit the Director at the library.
Thank you for your continued support.
Respectfully,
The Library Board of Trustees
