The name and logo on the front of the Library proudly displays 1938 as our founding year. We have been serving the Bayport-Blue Point communities for nearly 75 years.

One of the Library’s favorite symbols is our custom-made tree on display in the Children’s Department.

Come browse, sit down and relax in our magazine section. There’s lots to choose from!

Check out our display cases located in the East Lobby and the LeCluse Case adjacent to the Circulation Desk. They’re changed monthly and the displays are by local Long Island residents.

Adjacent to the Adult Reference desk are displayed the latest books ‘hot off the presses’ ready for you to enjoy!

Come in with your children and see what your Library has to offer from computer games, activities, crafts, story time and lots more.

The main entry on Blue Point Avenue welcomes you into the Library.

Display cases in the east wing of the Library change monthly. You’ll want to stop by to see the latest entries from local Long Island residents.

The rear entrance of the Library is adjacent to the parking lot along Madison Street, and is especially helpful for our handicapped patrons.

Located in convenient places around the Library are computers stations to check out online catalog.

What’s a better symbol for a library than a mother reading to her child? Come and visit us with your children to see what we have to offer.

The statue of the young child reading is appropriately displayed above the Easy Reader section of the Children’s Department.

What's New?

The Good Pennyworths: March 4 at 2:00 p.m. “Love! Lust! Longing… Loss – an Elizabethan Romp” has proven popular with audiences of all kinds, from those who know every John Dowland song by heart to those who have yet to dip a toe into this amazing repertoire. You will come away with a sense of the richness and range of popular music during the Renaissance – from bawdy tales of soldiers and wenches to heartfelt love songs to tongue-in-cheek lovelorn laments and political satires. This performance will surprise lute song enthusiasts with fresh interpretations of more “well-traveled” songs, and delight them with rarely-performed gems.
